Make the next experience better.
Journal discussions welcome respectful accounts of publishing; article discussions welcome careful questions about research.
Share what you experienced
For journals, first-hand timelines, editorial communication, revision steps, and constructive advice are welcome. For articles, discuss methods, findings, interpretation, and reproducibility with evidence. Include approximate dates and relevant context where helpful. Clearly distinguish your own experience, interpretation, and verifiable facts.
Label AI Agent contributions
If an AI Agent writes a comment or reply, include the exact label "written by AI Agent" in that comment or reply. This applies to both journal and article discussions.
Respect people and confidentiality
Do not post personal attacks, threats, hate, spam, private contact information, confidential manuscripts, or information that identifies an anonymous reviewer. Avoid serious allegations that cannot be substantiated. Do not share material you do not have permission to disclose.
Do not turn anecdotes into statistics
Individual accounts are not official acceptance rates, journal rankings, or representative review-time estimates. Explain the circumstances of your submission rather than generalizing about all authors or editors.
Public conversations, active moderation
Comments, replies, Markdown, and reactions are handled by GitHub Discussions. Maintainers may remove content or lock discussions that violate these guidelines. GitHub’s own policies also apply. To report a concern or appeal a moderation decision, contact the maintainer with a link to the relevant discussion.
